MCMP uses multiple professional vessel managers that are located in the region where MCMP’s ships operate and trade. These managers possess invaluable knowledge about the local market, and they handle all the management and operations of the vessels. The financial team, based in Frankfort, Illinois, is a fully-seasoned group that has the broad investment experience to structure the financing of target acquisitions and trade finance opportunities.

JAMES F. HAMILTON — CEO

Mr. Hamilton has specialized in non-traditional investment products during a career that spans over thirty years of financial trading, investing, education, analysis and marketing. He began his career with Price Waterhouse where he earned his CPA and moved on to trading listed options on the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He was retained by various investment firms to create investment products which led him to the maritime sector. Mr. Hamilton is the driving force behind the Ship+Trade model which has been used successfully in several previous transactions. Mr. Hamilton earned an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

ALAN C. HOFMAN – President

Mr. Hofman has over 25 years in the finance, business development and consulting industries. He joined MCMP four years ago and is President of the company. He is responsible for business development, operations and strategic financing. His responsibilities include procuring financing and developing strategic partnerships, overseeing key employee staffing and obtaining clients. Mr. Hofman also has extensive hedge fund industry knowledge and experience. He managed High Ridge Financial (“HRF”) from 2001-2017. HRF was an alternative investment hedge fund that made investments in the oil and gas, maritime, clean/reusable energy, financial, retail and many other industries. Mr. Hofman graduated from the University of Illinois in 1990 with a business degree.

MARK A. TROSSMAN – Secretary

Mr. Trossman has specialized in traditional real estate investment products of debt and equity during a career that spans over 35 years of commercial real estate lending, equity investments, real estate administration/management, financial analysis, joint venture supervision/oversight, and training and profit/loss responsibilities for several real estate commercial lending offices in multiple states. He began his career with Metropolitan Life in the real estate investment division and later with Mellon Mortgage and several other prominent real estate financing firms. Mr. Trossman earned a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
